Quote template for creatives

A good quote wins the job before you start it. Make it clear, make it look good, and turn it into the invoice when the client says yes.

What to put on a quote

  • What you will do, in the client’s words: the scope of the job.
  • Each part with its price: days, deliverables, equipment, post-production.
  • What is included and what is not, and how many rounds of revisions.
  • Usage rights or licensing, if it applies.
  • How long the quote is valid, and the payment terms.
  • Tax and total, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

From quote to invoice

  • Keep the same lines on the invoice as on the quote.
  • If the scope changes, update the quote before you invoice.
  • With Summe Pro, one tap turns the quote into an invoice with the next number.

Questions

What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?

A quote is a proposal before the job: the client accepts it or not. An invoice asks for payment once the work is agreed or done, and it needs a number in your invoice series.

Can I make quotes for free?

Quotes are part of Summe Pro. Invoices are free and unlimited.
